Hosting

Hosting Rules

  • Lobby issues that require admin assistance or involvement, must get a hold of a tournament admin VIA discord.

  • Host can be on Playstation, Xbox, or PC.

  • Only 4 players listed on the roster from each team are allowed in the lobby. Plus any Houston Spartans Caster.

  • Any matches started with incorrect settings should be restored and fixed immediately.

  • The hosting team must set the game lobby to invite only. If any player (besides a reconnecting player) joins mid-game, the impact and scenario will be discussed by staff, and the ruling will be based on the impact of the 3rd party.

  • Hosting team will have 10 minutes to invite the opposing team to the lobby from the scheduled match time, after the invite, teams have 10 minutes or until the 10-minute mark after the official start time to join and start the game. For each additional map, the host has 5 minutes to invite the opposing team to the lobby, after which time, teams have 5 minutes to join and start the map. Failure to show (or invite) in each given time frame will lead to a map forfeit. Staff have the right to extend the time or force play given to specific circumstances.

  • Teams may request a host check before the match officially starts. This would be to make sure the current host is stable and fair to play all players in the lobby before the match is officially started. If the lobby host is unstable and has a noticeable effect on the style of play, teams may request a host switch, meaning the team that has the right to host must choose another one of their players to host the hobby. This request must be done before the map has begun, or discovered in the opening moment of the lobby. If a rule break occurs, the game should be played out in its entirety if possible, and the outcome can be assessed after the map is played.

Disconnects

HARDPOINT

If a player disconnects within a combined score of 100 points between teams, the map can be ended and restarted. If the hosting team does not end the game, you must change teams or leave the game to have it ended. This action must be done within a reasonable amount of time of realizing the disconnect, otherwise, the map must be played out and counted. If a player disconnects outside the beginning threshold, the match will continue while the disconnected player attempts to rejoin.

SEARCH AND DESTROY

If a player disconnects, the round can be completed and counted. The game must then be ended at the end of the given round. If the hosting team does not end the game, you must leave the match to have it officially recorded. Playing out the next round down a player will count. The game will start back up with the current round score. If a player from the host team lags out at the beginning of a round before a kill happens, The map can be stopped and restarted with the teams on the appropriate sides.

CONTROL

If a player disconnects after 30 seconds or a 1st tick is gained, the round can be completed and counted, and the game must be ended at the end of the given round. If the hosting team does not end the game, you must leave the match to have it officially recorded. Playing out the next round down a player will count. The game will start back up with the current round score. A player can rejoin if possible, and if so, the match will continue without being stopped.

INCORRECT GAME SETTINGS

Hardpoint

  • If the game settings are found to be wrong, the hosting team will forfeit the map.

  • Non-hosting team needs to get video proof and let the series referee know after the map is over. .

Search and Destroy

  • If the game settings are found to be wrong, the hosting team will forfeit the map. This means that the hosting team will lose the round score and the non-hosting team should get video proof and leave the match.

  • Match will be restarted with an updated score.

  • If a map has a wrong rule after it’s restarted, then the hosting team will forfeit the map.

CONTROL

  • If the game settings are found to be wrong, the hosting team will forfeit the map. Non-hosting team needs to get video proof and let the series referee know after the map is over.

  • The non-hosting team must take video proof of wrong rules in order for confirmation. This proof needs to be set to the Houston Spartan Admins.

  • The only way to get a forfeit is if the CDL toggle is not put on. Playing a map without a CDL toggle is not allowed. If a map is started without this on, the map should be restarted immediately.
